Who we are
Frankie Moving and Junk Removal ("we", "us") is a moving and junk removal business in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains how we handle your personal information under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- How you heard about us, if you choose to tell us
- The service you need and the job details you give us (for example bedrooms, floors, items, volume and notes)
- Pickup, drop-off or job location (city or area)
- Your preferred date
- A record that you agreed to this policy and to be contacted about your quote, with the date and time
- Whether your request passed our spam check (see This website)
- Photos or videos of the job that you send us on WhatsApp
- Messages, emails and calls you send us about your quote or job
We don't take payment card details through this website.
2. Why we collect it
We use your information only to prepare and send your quote and to communicate with you about that job, including scheduling and doing the work if you book. If you tell us how you heard about us, we use that to understand which ways of finding us work.
After we complete a job for you, we may send you one message by WhatsApp or email asking for a Google review. It's up to you whether to leave one, and you can tell us at any time that you don't want messages like this.
We don't send marketing emails or newsletters. If we ever want to, we will ask for your separate permission first.
3. Your consent
Before you send the quote form, we ask you to agree to this policy and to us contacting you about your quote. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. If you do, we may not be able to give you a quote or complete a job.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the quote form and talk to you:
- Cloudflare — hosts this website, processes the quote form and stores quote requests in our bookings database
- Resend — delivers the emails the quote form sends
- Cloudflare Turnstile — checks that quote requests come from a person and not a spam bot (see This website)
- Zoho Mail and Gmail (Google) — our business email inbox
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you message us or send photos or videos on WhatsApp
We may also share information if the law requires it.
5. Photos and videos on WhatsApp
To give you a final price, we ask you to send us photos or videos of the items or job on WhatsApp. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, which handles your messages under its own privacy policy. We use your photos and videos only to prepare your quote. Please avoid capturing people or personal documents. We keep them under the same rules as quote requests (see How long we keep it), and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
6. This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts and images are hosted on our own site, so visiting a page doesn't send your information to other companies, with one exception: once you reach the second step of the quote form, it loads Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Turnstile processes technical signals such as your IP address, browser details and the page you're on, only to tell people from bots, not to identify, profile or advertise to you. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum (opens in a new tab) and privacy policy (opens in a new tab). If the check can't run (for example, a privacy setting or ad blocker stops it), we still receive your request, but we mark it as unchecked, don't send a confirmation email, and call you to confirm it. While you fill in the form, your answers are kept in your browser tab so a reload doesn't lose them (see the Cookie Policy). Our host, Cloudflare, keeps basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the site. If you click our WhatsApp or Facebook links, you go to Meta's services, which have their own privacy policies. See our Cookie Policy.
7. Storage outside Canada
Our service providers may store or process your information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws.
8. How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept in our bookings database. If your request doesn't become a job, we delete it, including the related emails and WhatsApp photos and videos, 12 months after you sent it, or once your preferred date has passed if that is later. If it does become a job, we keep what we need for as long as we need it to complete the job and meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations.
9. How we protect it
The quote form is sent over an encrypted connection. Quote requests are stored securely in a database hosted by Cloudflare, and access to it is restricted to the business through a verified login. We limit access to your information to people who need it to prepare your quote or do the job, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it from loss, theft and unauthorized access.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. Email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
11. Who is responsible for privacy
Our privacy contact is the Owner of Frankie Moving and Junk Removal. Contact them at [email protected] or +1 (604) 518-9118.
12. How to complain
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (opens in a new tab) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (opens in a new tab).
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date on this page shows when it last changed.
This page is general information, not legal advice. Frankie Moving and Junk Removal should have it reviewed by a lawyer.
